Practise property decisions with a fictional portfolio. Choose repairs, balance a £10,000 budget and explain what happens next.

Training scenario — fictional data only. Choose “Save on this device” to keep a draft between visits. Anyone using this browser can see that draft; clear it when finished on a shared computer. Download your report for a separate copy. This exercise never changes your real workspace.
Lecturer guide · 30–45 minute exercise

Work individually or discuss in groups. Spend 5 minutes identifying risks, 15 minutes building a plan and 10 minutes defending it. Compare plans as a class.

Discuss: Which actions cannot wait? What temporary controls are needed? Who owns each action? What information is missing? A budget constraint must not be treated as permission to ignore safety.

Assessment prompts: quality of reasoning, treatment of uncertainty, communication and consequences of deferral. There is no automatic grade.
